Practise real routes used during SGI driver examinations
Taking your Class 5 road test in Saskatchewan? We’ve put together a directory of SGI driver examination centres, complete with real practice routes to help you prepare with confidence.
Browse the list of available routes, view the map of SGI locations, or keep reading for tips and details on the testing process.
The best way to build driving confidence is by practising on the same streets, intersections, and traffic situations that SGI examiners use daily during actual tests. Familiarity with the test environment is known to greatly reduce nerves and sharpen awareness come test day.
The routes on the app are made to mirror the same routes you’ll encounter at SGI driver examination centres. Here’s how they're created:
These sample routes you see on this website are for practice only, and do not represent official SGI exam routes. For accurate, guided practice - including turn-by-turn navigation - be sure to download the app.
No matter your age, if you're a first-time driver you must complete the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program. Managed by SGI, it's designed to give you enough safe driving experience before you become a fully experienced Class 5 driver.
Under GDL restrictions, with a Class 5 licence you can drive passenger cars, light trucks, vans, motorhomes, farm trucks, and certain buses (without passengers). Heavy trucks and commercial use is restricted until you’re fully licensed.
Our Tip: Keep your record clean - any suspensions or traffic convictions will likely extend your time in GDL.
This is the key step after the Learner stage in Saskatchewan’s GDL program. It determines whether you’ve developed safe enough driving habits to confidently handle everyday road situations.
